is a therapist in New York
I have more than a decade’s experience working as a writer, teacher, and therapist.
My own varied path informs my therapeutic approach as I accompany clients in the work of achieving wholeness in their lives. Our greatest assets in this endeavor, I have learned, are the courage to wonder “what’s missing” and the willingness to ask for help.
As a therapist, I am a supportive and non-judgmental thought partner: I meet clients with warmth, openness, curiosity, and compassionate insight. Whether we are working toward discrete goals, healing old wounds, or making meaning in a maddening world, my mission is to help clients develop the skills they need to find trust in themselves. From there, we work together to establish and maintain a working peace with life’s unknowns.
I completed my master’s in pastoral mental health counseling at Fordham in 2022 and worked as a substance abuse counselor at the Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai before entering private practice.
My writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, Politico Magazine, and beyond. Most recently, I contributed a chapter to Mind the Children, a volume exploring the youth mental health crisis.
